These worn-out shoes of mine.
I have walked in for many a day.
These "Old Friends" are truly divine.
These "Old Friends" have led me many miles.
In the power of my Creator's love.
Many perfectly awesome people
have admired my "Old Friends"
and blessed me with precious godly smiles.
I truly couldn't ask for more.
One day I laced up a new pair of shoes,
and went for a walk.
Leaving my "Old Friends" behind.
I figured that I would let them snooze.
When I returned back home,
I was forced to listen to my "Old Friends" talk.
"Next time take me!
I love to roam."
My "Old Friends"
you are a royal blessing
to my godly guiding feet.
You reward me with comfort,
with every Holy Spirit inspired walk.
My "Old Friends"
I will always love you!
Yes! These well-worn shoes are most unique.
My "Old Friends" have taken me from place to place.
These old shoes have set me free
to walk in the joy of the Lord.
My "Old Friends" are packed with love.
Each and every day, memories are freshened
placing a smile of joy upon my smiling face.
