George Herbert CRAIG was born in Illinois,

& that a man named Ephraim GLIDDEN (a neighbor?)
was his guardian for a few months.
Ephraim GLIDDEN's residence was Elmira Township, Stark Co.

Family tradition:
George H. CRAIG "was 15 years older than his second wife, Ida Rebecca BRADFORD.
He came down from Canada to Kansas (?) & met his wife in Wadena, Minnesota.
George CRAIG was ill in hospital in Brainerd, Minnesota
for three years (therefore 1913 - 1916).
His wife nursed him & lived in Duluth & 'came out a nurse'.
Then she worked at Two Harbors, Minnesota Hospital
& then did clothing alterations at the Glass Block downtown, Duluth.
She died on 03 Nov 1933 in Duluth."
There is a Kansas connection, as George Herbert CRAIG's cousin,
James Upton CRAIG - Jim CRAIG went from Overbrook, Osage Co., Kansas
to Pomona, Los Angeles Co., California about 1887.
Jim died in Pomona in 1947 (Obituary >).
It appears that Jim's father, Harlow CRAIG,
& George Herbert's father, Orin CRAIG or Orland CRAIG,
may have been brothers, from a Vermont family.
This is only speculation at this point!
