Esther BJORUM & Ellen SOLLIE

Astrid BJORUM (a.k.a. Esther BJORUM) was born on the 25th of Aug 1886 in Skage-I-Namdalen, Norway, to parents Andrew BJORUM & Ellen SOLLIE (also known as Ellen Anna Eliasdatter SOLLIE LINDSETH).

"Astrid took her first steps in Scotland" on the family's move from Norway to the U.S.A. She lived in Thompson, Minnesota, then in Two Harbors, where she attended (the old) Minnehaha School & later worked as a waitress at the Liberty Cafe in Two Harbors.

She met & married Nels Johannes SANDNESS, son of Johannes Nilsson Otnes SANDNES & Dordi Larsdotter ENGLI (a.k.a. Dardi Larsdotter ENGLI SANNES) in Minnesota.
